42nd Annual 8th Grade Boys Basketball Tournament

The Crescent City Jaycees are proud to to announce that preperation for our 42nd annual boys tournament are under way.  Use the "Annual Events" menu to the left to navigate to the tournament information.

Our team of dedicated volunteers have given up many weekends and taken time off of work to prepare for this tournament.  This tournament requires work year-round, and we are constantly striving to make it better than previous years.  People frequently ask how we do it, so here are some of the things that we do:

Visit schools and scout games

Monitor qualifying tournaments

Make contact with coaches, teams, and fans

Collect win/loss records

Observe and note referee performance

Observe and make note of good & bad sportsmanship

Work with vendors to arrange sweatshirts & tee-shirts, school facilities, supplies and advertisements

Solicit donations throughout our community
